Obama Advocating For Equal Pay For Women

Women are finally on the track to getting equal pay for equal work as men. On January 29, 2016 Julie Hirschfeld Davis of New York Times reported the latest move by President Obama in Washington, yesterday to require companies to report what they pay employees by race, gender, and ethnicity to the federal government. Part of this agenda is to crack down on firms that pay women less money for doing the same work as men in the same field. This has been an ongoing issue for decades now. Many women's rights groups and advocates have been advocating for change in the gender pay gap. With the help of the President, it seems like there will finally be a much needed change. Thank you President Obama, for furthering the course of women and pushing for equality of pay for both genders. To read more about this issue, visit NYTimes.com . I just love it when women's efforts and work are appreciated and adequately rewarded.
