Hey guys. Thanks for visiting my blog today. This is a review of "Aliko Mohammad Dangote Biography: The Biography of the Richest Black Person in the World," written by Moshood Ademola Fayemiwo and Margie Marie Neal. This book was very extensively written and detailed in illustration. The authors went above and beyond to get more than enough information than the reader would expect to get from a book. This book is both about the history of Nigeria and Dangote's ancestry. It was very easy for me to understand it because I'm Nigerian and a great part of the information I got, refreshed my knowledge of the Nigerian history. I believe that for someone who is looking to learn about Dangote and how he came about his riches, you'd be overwhelmed with a lot of irrelevant information. I am by no means discrediting the authors of this book because they did a tremendous job. However, if this were an academic journal, almost half of the entire pages of the book would be irrelevant because it is supposed to a book about a man and how he came to acquire so much wealth, not a history book of a country. To cut straight to the chase, Aliko Mohammad Dangote was born rich and he used the money and connections at his disposal to create more wealth for himself. I was not disappointed at all but I thought that the book was going to be about a man who rose from grass to grace. I'm just glad I have this new knowledge about how he acquired his wealth. He was already rich!
