Hey guys, welcome to my blog. I appreciate all of your support thus far. Today's post is about my recent baking accomplishment. After many trials and errors, I FINALLY SUCCEEDED in making an upside down banana pound cake. It was very easy to make and for someone like me; who struggles with baking, the recipe was easy to follow. I am very excited to share it with you. 1.
A packet/box of cake mix. If you can make your cake batter from scratch, that's good too.
3 Large eggs.
2 teaspoons of Vanilla extract.
2 whole bananas
A cup of brown sugar.
1/2 cup of butter.
1/2 cup of vegetable oil.
Get a 9-inch pan and some vegetable shortening to coat the inside of the pan.
In a warm pot or skillet, add your butter and brown sugar together. Stir until both sugar and butter melt and liquify. This should take about 3-5 mins. Turn off stove but leave the pot/skillet on it to keep warm. While you work on your banana and batter. In a bowl, lightly beat your eggs and add your vegetable oil, vanilla extract, cake mix and stir until completely blended and content liquefies. Finally, cut your bananas into tiny circles. Put in a bowl and set aside. PREHEAT your oven at 350 degrees F. In your 9-inch pan, pour your melted brown sugar content and then line it up with your banana slices. Make sure to evenly line up the bottom of your pan with banana slices to get the best result. Finally, empty your cake batter into the pan. After your oven is done preheating, place your pan on the middle rack and set your timer for 25 mins. Be sure to check on it once or twice because some ovens will cook faster than others. When your cake is done baking, get a flat wide plate and gently flip your cake pan upside down, to get the cake out. Let sit for 15-20 mins or until completely cool. Now you're ready to enjoy the deliciousness! Make sure to watch the video for more information. Have a wonderful week!
